My Journey With Dogs
When I was a little girl, I had a dog named Rex, whom I adored. As an adult, after getting married, I welcomed another dog into my life—Lola. She’s the same color and crossbreed as Rex, and at 13 years old, she’s the true queen of our home. My husband and I joke that we’re just her roommates!
For 13 years, I worked at a homeless hostel, but when it no longer felt like the right fit, friends and neighbors often asked me to care for their dogs, which I did happily and freely. Eventually, I took the leap to leave the hostel and turn my passion into a career.
I’m now a registered dog boarder with Southampton City Council, meeting all criteria to operate as a 5-star professional. I’m licensed to care for up to three dogs (including Lola), ensuring they’re thoughtfully matched for safe, happy stays. It’s been incredibly rewarding to build a life doing what I love most—sharing our home with furry friends. My husband Fitz has been supportive of the business from the start and is very proud of my business. He often comes with me on dog walks, shares his bed with a dog or two, as well as sits with them if I need to go out.
